If you make changes to the files on your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk, the changes will not be saved to your hard drive when you insert your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk. Iomega Quik Sync 2 may overwrite any files on your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk to make sure they are equivalent to the latest version of the file on your hard disk. To avoid the accidental replacement of files that you have updated on your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk, copy the updated files to your hard disk, or enable Iomega Quik Sync 2's revisions feature.

\nThe Iomega Quik Sync 2 setting will allow you to turn Iomega Quik Sync 2 on and off. Iomega Quik Sync 2 is on by default. In the on positon, Iomega Quik Sync 2 will scan a specified folder for updated files and copy them to your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk.

\nThe Source setting allows you to choose the folder that you wish to backup.

\nThe Destination setting allows you to select the Iomega« drive to which you want your files backed up.

\nRevisions
\nRevisions are off by default. With revisions off, the computer will replace your backed up files with their newest versions. With revisions on, the computer will add a numbered file to the target disk every time the document changes. For example, if you save a document titled My File.doc to your hard drive, Iomega Quik Sync 2 will create a file titled My File.(1).doc on your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk. Next time you modify My File.doc, Iomega Quik Sync 2 will save it as My File.(2).doc on your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk.

\nTime Settings
\nThe default time setting for Iomega Quik Sync 2 is 15 minutes. This means that every fifteen minutes Iomega Quik Sync 2 will scan the files in the selected folder for changes and copy any files that have been changed to your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk.

\nWarnings

\nWarnings are on by default. Iomega Quik Sync 2 will warn you when your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk is not inserted only when this option is on. You will receive warnings at interval you set in the Time Settings selector until you insert your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk. If warnings are turned off and your Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk is not inserted, Iomega Quik Sync 2 will suspend backups without warning until you insert the Iomega Quik Sync 2 disk.
